Zombie Must Reads!

  • ‘You can’t argue with a zombie’ by Jaron Lanier (written in the year 1995).
  • ‘Twilight of the zombies’ by Dan Lloyd (in the year 1997) which talks of Zombies being empirically detected!
  • Todd Moody’s ‘Conversations with zombies’ in the year 1995 where he talks of the Zombie being distinguishable because there’ll be no argument on the subject of consciousness.
  • Peter Marton’s ‘Zombies v/s materialists: The battle for conceivability’ in the year 1998 which talks of the conceivability of the zombies only if the subject of materialism is unthinkable.
  • ‘The zombie argument’ by John Perry is dedicated to the argument that every argument on the subject of the zombie presumes epiphenomenalism. He also says that a zombie would definitely behave a lot differently than a normal human.
  • ‘Zombies’ by Tom Polger is a summary of several philosophical issues (all different) on the subject of zombies.
  • William Seager’s ‘Are Zombies Logically Possible & Why It Matters’ talks of the reasons behind Kirk’s argument failing (which was against any possibility of the existence of zombies.)
